Age Concern is the UK's largest charity working with and for older people and Opening Doors is the umbrella title of their developing program of publications, resources and events for and about older lesbians, gay men and bisexuals in the UK. Their website site includes copies of reports and other resources that can be downloaded free.
Alzheimer's Society's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Carers Group
This is a telephone support service in the UK for anyone who is lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and who is, or who has been, caring for someone with dementia. Information for LGBTT seniors and service providers about caring for someone with dementia is available on their website.
American Society on Aging: Lesbian and Gay Aging Issues Network
The Lesbian and Gay Aging Issues Network (LGAIN) works to raise awareness about the concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender elders and about the unique barriers they encounter in gaining access to housing, healthcare, long-term care and other needed services. Their website offers information dealing with LGBT aging, as well as an extensive list of recommended books, videos and other resources.
